My watch ultra won’t stay on even though it says always on

  1. and I have all these suggestions: Restart your Apple Watch (Hold down the side button until the Power Off button shows up. Wait about 10-15 seconds and then turn it back on by holding down the side button again)
  2. Disable and re-enable the setting. (Open the "Watch" app on your iPhone and select Settings > Display & Brightness > Always On. Wait a few minutes and then re-enable it)
  3. Make sure your Apple Watch is up to date. (Open the "Watch" app, go to My Watch > General > Software update and make sure that your Watch is up to date.)
  4. Make sure theater mode is disabled. (Swipe up from your Watch Face, then make sure the two masks icon, it will be glowing orange if it is enabled, is disabled.

Hello juliaan240,

By chance, are you using Low Power Mode on your Apple Watch Ultra? This will disable the Always On feature, so we want to rule that out. More info can be found at: Use Low Power Mode on your Apple Watch - Apple Support

How to turn on Low Power Mode on your Apple Watch

  1. Touch and hold the bottom of your Apple Watch screen. Wait for Control Center to show, then swipe up.
  2. Tap the battery percentage button.
  3. Turn on Low Power Mode.

You can also turn on Low Power Mode in Settings.

  1. Open the Settings app on your Apple Watch.
  2. Scroll down, then tap Battery.
  3. Turn on Low Power Mode.

If that feature is not in use, then you'll want to contact Apple Support so they can look into this further with you.
