Apple watch shows null null when confirming Apple ID Verification Code on iPhone that was previously on Lost Mode

Have an iPhone and lock it via Find My app.
Unlock the iPhone by entering device passcode.
Sign in with Apple ID on the iPhone.
Wait for MFA method to be prompted for entering into the iPhone.
Inspect Apple Watch screen:

Apple ID Verification

Code

null null

Actual result: null null is present

Expected result: Can't say what should be shown in this context
