Apple M1 Max Ventura 13.1 -- Slow Lexar 1667x UHS-II sdcards

The Lexar 1667x UHS-II sdcards are very slow on my M1 Max Ventura 13.1 -- takes 30seconds to open a preview of a file. cards are formatted by my Sony a7iii camera.

Anyone else having this problem? Are there any fixes out there?
