migrating from Aperture to Lightroom

I'm FINALLY leaving Aperture and migrating to Lightroom. Following all the directions I can find on the web using Lightroom's Plug in Extras under File. Photos are on an external hard drive. I can locate my Aperture libraries and select one. (Some are .aplibraries, some iPhoto but they're all visible) Then to OPTIONS and check all and hit OK. At this point, the IMPORT button should let me import, but it's grayed out. Not sure where the problem is.

Specifics: MacBook Air with Ventura 13.1 and a recent download of Lightroom Classic. (I notice that below it's saying I'm using Catalina, but that's because I'm posting this message from Catalina on my desktop. The Air has Ventura 13.1

Thanks for any help!!

Here are two more possibilities that came to mind.

1 - What version of Lightroom Classic are you using? Only Lightroom Classic 12.x is supported on Ventura. If you had 11.x installed before upgrading to Ventura, and didn't upgrade LRC, the older v11 will still run but it is not supported and there is no guarantee everything would run correctly.

2 - Aperture was discontinued 9 years ago and macOS Mojave was the last version of macOS that Aperture ran well on. It may be a long shot, but do you have an (older) Mac running macOS Mojave where you could try the migration? When I looked at Adobe's help site, the current help page about migrating Aperture to Lightroom is dated a year ago ... Jan, 17, 2022 ... when Monterey was the current version of macOS ... well before Ventura was released.

There is a possibility that changes in Ventura itself may have something to do with the problem you have encountered. Last fall, for example, one of our community members discovered that Aperture Libraries could no longer be migrated to Apple Photos under Ventura. See: Migrating an Aperture Library to Photos a… - Apple Community While the specific problem described there pertains to the Photos app on Ventura, there may be some underlying incompatibility, or something no longer supported, on Ventura, that also interferes with Lightroom migration.

Also, have you asked about this in the Lightroom Classic forum or the Lightroom Queen forums?
