Iphone XR Update
I would like to know if there is an official date for the discontinuation of updates for the iPhone XR and XS models.

It is hard to say. There is no official date.
The iPhone 6S came out in 2015, and was supported until 2022, when iOS 16 came out. However, iOS 15 received a security update a few days ago iOS 15 (iOS 15.7.3) - so the iPhone 6S is still supported as such. Which is impressive here over 7 years later.
The iPhone XR came in 2018, and while there's no guarantee of anything, you could imagine the XR getting its last major update in 2025. The iPhone XR has a more powerful processor than the iPhone 6S, so maybe it's more future-proof, and can handle one more year.
But ONLY Apple knows that. This is just what I think.
