iMessage stuck on verifying

My phone number on iMessage settings is stuck on verifying and it will not work. This happened right after I updated to 16.3. I have tried turning off imessage and facetime and all that, signing out of my apple on my phone, and resetting my network settings. How do I fix this?

iMessage stuck on verifying my phone number When i first started using imessage, it was connected using my phone number. By mistake, i checked the imessage option off and when i turned it back on it does not verify my number. I can only use an e-mail address. i have reseted the network settings and iphone but it is still the same. i've tried all available solutions but nothing works.

You did the right thing to fix it. All you can do now is wait. I updated myself to iOS 16.3 yesterday and it took approx. 15 minutes before my phone number was registered again.
