Charged for annual plan but I changed it to monthly instead - can I get a refund on the annual subscription?

I accidentally subscribed to an annual plan within an app then changed it to monthly, which I intended. Will I get a refund on my annual subscription?

If you got an email receipt, use the 'Report a Problem' link in it; otherwise, click here and ask the iTunes Store staff for a refund. Whether you'll get one is generally at their discretion.
