VPN keeps asking me to enter the PW - even though it's recorded in Settings

Sometime over the last couple of weeks starting my VPN connection from the menu bar leads me to a dialogue box asking me to enter my password.

The password is recorded in settings already.

I made no changes that I can think of - my update to Venture 13.2 was complete and I was still able to log right in without a PW. But, more recently, it started asking.

Any idea how I can restore the convenience of a recorded password in the VPN menu bar?
