Can't search onedrive files on Ventura 13.1 unless they are marked as "always keep on this device" Is there a fix for this?

I recently purchased and new Mac Studio and it came with Ventura 13.1 installed. Upon using onedrive I noticed that I can no longer search the content of the onedrive folder unless they are marked as "always keep on this device". Is there are fix for this? I never dont have this issue on my Macbook Pro running Monterey.

There is a workaround. When you activate spotlight, type your search command, instead of pressing return, scroll to the bottom and choose 'search in finder'. Not as smooth as it used to be but workable.

Unfortunately I can’t contact Microsoft because if I say I’m a business user they tell me to contact my system admin (which I have and still no solution) or you call and say it’s a personal account and then they tell you to check online and hang up

FWIW, that has never been my experience. You can try the Microsoft Help Communities where other Microsoft product users interact and help each other.

Same issue. I can’t even search Finder for files in my OneDrive. I previously had OneDrive/Sharepoint set up to show subfolders and the lot, but I had to do a complete system restore because of Office365 sign-in issues when I updated to Ventura. Now, I only have a closed OneDrive folder that is unsearchable even when I open it. It’s maddening, and I can’t find a workaround for my life.

What does not make sense to me is that, after having to factory reset my 2021 Pro because of Office 365 authentication errors, everything works fine, with the exception that Sharepoint is now OneDrive and the search engine is completely useless on the Mac. Perhaps this is a separate issue; however, I never experienced this previously and cannot find a way back. I came as a forever Windows user and that ability was key. I'm sure I'll find a workaround, but I have no idea what I did in the past.
