I upgraded my Apple Watch Series 7 Cellular to watchOS 9.3 yesterday and noticed a lot worse battery life. The battery goes from 100% to 0% in just 6 hours and is connected to Wi-Fi rather than Cellular. I have already reset it to factory settings and performed a hard reset, and the issue persists. I hope Apple did not do this on purpose. Is anyone else noticing the same?

FWIW, in some cases, unpairing the watch, completely erasing it, then pairing and restoring the backup will resolve the battery draining issue after an update. (Simply unpairing and pairing again may not work.)

Also, some people have found that simply waiting a few days after an update resolves the battery draining problem.
May Apple Watch 7 would run 2 days. Since 9.3, I get no more than 10 hours. Cannot make it through the day without doing anything (just being a watch). 9.3.1 did not fix this.
You have to go directly to apple. Many people have had battery issues after the update but in this forum they say it is only you.
I haven’t been able to fix this issue yet. I tried hard resetting both the watch and iPhone, pairing and resetting the watch to factory settings, etc, but nothing has worked so far. I spoke with Apple support about this issue but they don’t seem to care.

My battery only lasts 6 house since I updated my watch. Beyond ridiculous. Especially since it's clear these comments are from weeks ago. So why did Apple prompt me to update my watch last week? They must have known there were issues. Really disgusting. I've tried all the fixes recommended here and none of them work.
Do I have to waste my time going to the Genius Bar? Do I have to buy a new watch?

I really don’t want to reset my watch and pair it again. It’s always the first solution and it’s a real pain. Apple needs to sen out the fix. They shouldn’t send out updates without throughly testing across all the watch versions.
Apple has had 2 years to fix this and yet they do nothing. It is a major pain to unpair, erase and reinstall the Apple Watch after these absurd updates which do nothing anyway. Who on earth is running this division and why have they not been fired?

No one is denying you have a problem. But, it is highly unlikely that the cause of that problem is a recent update.
So this problem started when my watch was updated. Happened that very day. But it was caused by something else? What a lightening strike or voodoo? That sounds like apple support. Everyone on this discussion would love to hear your thoughts and plan for fixing the problem.
My battery used to last from the time I got up 4:30 am until I go to bed at 9 pm. At this point I can’t get my stand rings closed before my battery dies. This is terrible. I know Apple would like me to go spend hundreds on a new watch, but do they not realize the times we are in? The administration that has choked us dry of money? Can’t afford food anymore, how will I afford a watch? I was so happy to get this one a few years ago. Now I might as well throw it in the garbage.

In other words, start at the beginning of the thread and read the other three pages of posts. There are suggestions, some of which might be useful to you.
Did you check for self discharge? (another suggestion you may have omitted)

There are 4 pages of people complaining about their batteries after an update. There are two level 10 advisors that don't have the issue. TWO! Anyway, you have suggestions and I thank you for your time.
My watch is updated to the most recent version
it went from having no battery issues to loosing all battery halfway through the day
nothing else has changed
it used to be at 30% remaining when I went to bed
now it’s dead at 1pm (I wake up at 7:30am)
definitely a software issue
apple fix this please
