Hi i have an iphone 6 with ios 12.5.7 and i cant download youtube or anyother app that says requires specific ios.plz help me and it can't be updated to the latest ios version

YouTube requires a newer iOS version than you can install on your iPhone 6 which is currently running iOS 12.5.7 and is the highest version currently offered for that model.

So, I figured out, I would just delete and then reinstall from the App Store.
This works just fine.
the popup about YouTube's version etc. VS iOS12.5.7 on iPhone6 has been around for months. Then, in January 2024. Things happened :)
It's solved now, though.
