Different Apple ID for purchases and suscriptions

Does anybody have this situation? A general Apple ID for all your devices but a different ID for purchases? Is there a way to move the purchases to the "general" Apple ID? Unfortunately, I forgot the password for the "second ID" and I have not been able to change it or recover it....

1) You cannot move purchases to a different Apple ID.

2) You can use different Apple IDs in a few cases, such as in Messages, and also purchases. In: If you subscribe to Apple One and use a different Apple ID for iCloud - Apple Support Apple makes sideways reference to using a different Apple ID for media subscriptions and purchases but oddly doesn't officially mention how to do this. Go to Settings > [your Apple ID] > Media & Purchases. Sign out of your current ID and sign in with a different one.

That kind of answers your individual questions but I suspect does not solve your dilemma. You had best work on getting that other ID working again.

How to use account recovery when you can’t reset your Apple ID password - Apple Support

- "Account recovery is a process designed to get you back into your Apple ID account when you don’t have enough information to reset your password." "If you use two-factor authentication and can’t sign in or reset your password, you can regain access after an account recovery waiting period."
