Recent calls show erroneous contacts

Hello, friends.

My iPhone 13 mini (iOS 16) displays recent calls with multiple contacts per call, when truly a call was made or missed from just one contact. The additional, erroneous, contacts displayed are separate from the true caller and in no way associated with that true caller’s contact. What’s more these erroneous contacts seem to be “tagged” to the call history at random as I haven’t had any recent contact with them.

This began happening only after updating my phone to iOS16.

Any direction toward resolution would be appreciated.

Thank you!
