error code -50

the operation cannot be completed because an unexpected error occurred (error code -50).

The pasting files is not working I have my Lacie 6TB and i am using this hard drive since 3 years now i am downloading some files from internet it won't be download and as well as not pasting any file in this Hard Drive.

Please Let me know what should i Do ???? the error msg is : the operation cannot be completed because an unexpected error occurred error code -50

Some causes...

The programs or system files are corrupted
Hardware problems
Too many caches or junk files on Mac
Misconfigured system settings

Start with this...

Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode? Could take 10 minutes or more.

Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches & loads safe Drivers, & prevents loading of 3rd party extensions, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.
