AirPods Pro low battery notification TOO LOUD!!

I’ve found the solution to this!

1. Put your AirPods in your ears and connect to your iPhone/iPad.
2. Go to Settings > Accessibility > Airpods
3. Scroll down to Tone Volume
4. Lower slider on Tone Volume

You can’t turn it fully off, but my neurodivergent brain manages on the lowest 15% quite happily!

Try turning off the headphones safety. It worked for me. There is a bug where the low battery sound is dependent on the set volume. And if you set the limit to 70 decibels you tend to have the volume set to the maximum.

Try this and see if it works! This is to turn down AirPod notifications like text messages and calls, maybe it will work for these battery tones as well!

For me the issue persists, even after changing the chime volume, any time music is playing. There basically is no fix, unless Apple fixes the software itself. It's so insanely ridiculous that this takes them so long to fix software wise.

I believe the person before and myself are trying to turn off the audible sound coming from the AirPods. It seems to come every time the charge level of the individual AirPod drops by 1% after hitting the 20% remaining threshold. How do we turn off that sound in our ears? Not the charging case sound

I need to know this too. It seems to be a common complaint for the last couple of years. It is extremely loud and scares the **** out of me every time. What’s worse, I’m on the spectrum and use these to help when I’m overwhelmed and overstimulated. But then if the battery is low it’s just adding another extremely uncomfortable sound and makes me feel more stressed out.

This is ridiculous because even when I put the tone volume at 15% my airpods still make the stupidly loud doo-doo doo doo noise that makes me want to kms when they reach 10% battery. WHYYY. Pls ffs Apple just fix this and stop hurting my ears every time my air pods are low 😭😭

It's pretty disturbing that this was left this way for so long. I'm constantly desperate and living on the edge, afraid for when my airpods go to low battery.... It's really hurtful and triggers so many emotions, especially irrational anger and expletive-filled internet queries in search for a solution.

Yes, that’s exactly what I’m trying to do. When I fall asleep with the airpods on the low power noise is so loud it will wake me up 😔

This is not the answer to the question. We need to know how to prevent the battery-low alert noise the AirPod makes when it is in our ear.

But it doesn't work. Have you tested it yourself? That setting gets ignored while playing audio

I did all of these steps, and I don't see anything called Tone Volume let alone a single slider?

I had this problem too. Your AirPods need to be in and connected for the option to appear.

Is this really working for you? Try testing it by playing a youtube video in the background and simultaneously trying to switch between transparency and noise cancellation modes. The 15% gets completely ignored and plays at full volume.
