Air pods 2nd generation over heating

I’ve had my brand new AirPods a little over a month and for the last week, only the right one gets super hot in my ear after just a few seconds. It is also now not connecting to my phone. The left one is just fine, connects, doesn’t get hot, works good. Idk what to do. Any suggestions

Perhaps This is a Faulty Device?:

Apple doesn't cover intentionally damage items. So, stop fiddling with these, and contact Apple Support. You might have faulty AirPods. So, contact Apple, seeing if you can get this replaced. Important: Have your order invoice and Serial Number with you when calling them. Go Here: Find the serial number of your AirPods - Apple Support

  • Proceed from there, as necessary
  • Why the Wait: Phone calls are taking a bit to go through at the moment, due to lots of calls. With the Coronavirus Pandemic, many are at home at the moment, with much time on their hands to contact Apple. So, just stay on the line, and you will get through :)
