PIN requested on my Macbook

Hello, I am often asked to Enter PIN instead of password/touchID. Not sure about the reason. The issue is that I do not recall setting up PIN, can you help me to find out where I could set it up or disable it?

I never set up a pin, and I’ve never used a pin no matter how many times I enter an incorrect pin. I can't make changes to the MacBook system settings I can't make changes to the MacBook system settings. I enter privacy and protection . Further on for full access to the disk. Apple login appears and then the pin code appears. I enter the pin code and I do not have access. What can I do ?
