I lost my Iphone, just bought a new one and like to use old apple id name@icloud but cannot. Please advise

Please advise how I can use my old apple ID (name@icloud.com) on my new Iphone? I tried several times but not succeed.

Read the support article titled: 'Set up your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch'. Click here--> Set up your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support


You should be able to simply sign into your old account. Do not set up a new account.


It would be helpful to know why you "cannot" sign in, what happens when you try, because that may indicate a specific solution. Meanwhile you can see if any of these apply:


If you can't connect or sign in to iCloud, Apple has a list of things you can try in the document If you can't connect or sign in to iCloud - Apple Support


If you are using a VPN, try turning it off and see if you can then log in.


For more assistance try the iCloud Support web site --> iCloud - Official Apple Support


If you still have problems try official Apple Support. Click here --> Choose your country or region - Official Apple Support Select your country, then a product. If you don't see one that handles your issue then keep experimenting with selections until you reach one that gets you a chat session or a telephone call and get the representative to redirect you.
