Verifying email address when adding a custom domain to email getting errors

HI, trying to use a custom domain name for my email, when I try to verify my families address, some get an error that they are "This email is already in use with another Apple ID". Some are verified. What could be causing this?

iCloud custom Domain - Cannot add one person's email I have setup three custom domains in my Family iCloud+ 2TB account. There are three people in the family. I can setup emails for me and my son across the three domains, but for my wife I can only setup emails for two of the domains. I was on the phone for a long time trying to sort this out today, the support member had me logout of my wife's iCloud account so that they could run a tool, but I still cannot add this particular email that we've been using for over a decade. The error I get during domain setup is: 'The verification email could not be delivered to name@domain.com' After the domain is setup without this one email. My wife can try to add the email address through her iCloud account, where she can see the custom domain. On trying this, there is a new error message: Error 'There was a problem with adding this email address. Please try again later.' I don't know how to get around this issue. I can send emails to this email address without issue.

Unable to verify my email address (Apple ID / iCloud) I'm being prompted to verify my email address while trying to sign in to my iCloud account. "Your Apple ID email address must be verified before you can sign in. Verify the address below or choose a different address to use as your Apple ID." When I enter my email address, it says "This email address is not available. Choose a different address." I'm stuck there. What different address? Why can't I use the same iCloud address I've been using for years?

Cannot verify email address I want to add to my custom domain: the verification link does nothing. Now what? During my custom domain creation, one step is to declare every existing email addresses before modifying the DNS. During this step, verification links are send to those addresses in order to verify that they are valid and everyone knows about the migration. So far, so good. I've validated couple of addresses but the last one cannot be verified. I do have the verification email and the verification link. But when I clic the link, it opens icloud.com and... does nothing. I'm supposed to get a notification popup in the page that says the email address has been successfully verified. But I don't have that message and my migration is now stuck. Does anyone has experience that kind of symptoms?

If someone has already added this email address to their account, then the address with the same name cannot be added to another Apple ID. Even if that Apple ID has already been deleted.

Once you've added an email to your account, it's linked to it forever, even if you delete it.

Apple should explain this before letting people add mail or just fix this creepy bug.
