Ventura shuts down apple mail unexpectedly

Follow previous suggestion - First.

Fall back - with Mail Closed

Hole SHIFT Key and launch Mail from Applications folder

This is a Safe Launch of Mail

Still issues >>

1 - Restart in Safe Mode. This will perform a Disk Repair, clear cache files and only load Apple Software, extensions and fonts. The boot up will be slow and can take some time - Normal.

2 - Safe Mode will also eliminate Third Party Software, extensions and drivers from loading. It will only load the Minimum amount of Core Apple Processes to allow the the computer to function at a reduced Level of Performance 

3 - Does the issue present in this mode ?

4 - Sometimes a Safe Boot followed by a Normal Boot will just put things right

5 - Still issues report back via reply for additional Trouble Shooting

The current stable release of Ventura including bug fixes, security updates is macOS Ventura 13.2

my gmail account works but if I add my roadrunner.com email account I can't open mail - it shuts down immediately

I will for to @leroydouglas on this.

It appears the issue is not the Application itself but how the User has that e-mail Account Configured or in this case Not Configured Properly
