I Installed Microsoft Excel and want to program with Visual Basic. But Apple has blocked some security settings related to Microsoft apps. On a macbook the Excel Trust Center is not available. Is someone familiar with this? And how can I change settings in a way that the IntelliSense is working again?
Btw: IntelliSense helps a programmer to choose from available options/paramaters/objects when typing code.

I found a solution. The problem is that Apple does not allow trusted access to the VBA Project Object Model. I found a macro on ExcelBaby.com that solves this problem for me. See "Excel Macro: Enable Trust Access to the VBA Project Object Model"

Office macros are the fundamental means used by much of the ransomware around.
The sandbox reduces the damage that can be caused, but does not eliminate it.
For database work on macOS, I’d usually suggest looking at Filemaker Pro.
