Ever since macOS 12.x Monterey, I have seen lots of issues involving the Wacom tablets (not sure the exact model tablets involved). Most of the issues involve compatibility issues with external drives not working correctly with a Wacom tablet connected.
Is this a newer or older Wacom tablet? I know some third party devices are not always compatible with the Apple Silicon Macs...especially older third party devices.
Are you running any anti-virus apps, cleaning/optimizer apps, or third party security software? These types of apps are not needed on a Mac and usually causes more problems than they solve as they interfere with the normal operation of macOS.
Disconnect all other external devices in case one of them is causing a problem with the Wacom tablet. Connect the Wacom tablet directly to the laptop.
If none of this helps, then I would perform a clean install of macOS which involves erasing the drive followed by reinstalling macOS. Or you can "Restore" the firmware of the laptop if you have access to another Mac running macOS 10.15+. Install only the Wacom software and test the Wacom tablet with no other external devices connected. If you have problems with a clean install/"Restore", then Wacom is responsible for assisting you and resolving the problem. Make sure to try your other USB ports especially on the other side of the laptop. If you must use an adapter with the Wacom tablet to connect to the laptop, then try using another adapter especially a different brand. Usually the Apple adapters are the best for compatibility in most situations if you are currently using a non-Apple adapter.
Keep in mind erasing the drive or "Restoring" the firmware will destroy all data on the internal SSD. Make sure to have a good backup.
