My Apple TV in about shows model number A2834 with a resolution of 2160 UHD HDR 10 but under video and audio it says I am using HDR 10+. I’m a bit confused about what what format I’m displaying. I’m using a Samsung UN49MU7500 and under expert settings of the TV it shows I’m in HDR+ mode. Am I using HDR 10 or HDR 10+?

You’ll get streams in HDR10+ if you equipment is enabled for that AND the content is available in HDR10+, else you get HDR10, else you get SDR.
For HDR10+ that might be some tiles from e.g. Amazon Prime Video, Paramount+, Hulu, YouTube, and some other services.
Thank you for this information. A lot of my Apple movies are shown as HDR 10+. I noticed right out of the shoot that the colors look more vibrant. Your post has been helpful.
