So we bought these new watches for the kids. They do have iPhones but they don’t have phone plans for them. So they only work on wife.
Question being will the watches still work without having a plan? Is it worth it to buy a series 8, or any watch, with the cellular for phones without plans or better to get the wifi ones?

Cellular watches are set up from the iphone using the same provider but with an extra fee.
Without a plan in their iphones they will not get a plan on the Watch.
Unless YOU have an iphone and pair them both to your iphone as a family watch.
