Apple Music 6 month free trail with AirPods Pro not working

I recently received a set of AirPods Pro 2 as a gift and today noticed that I was eligible for a 6 month free trial of Apple Music. I followed the instructions provided here and was only offered a 2 month free trial not the 6 months stated in the eligible device campaign???

Can an someone please tell me why I am unable to claim my Apple Music 6 month trial now I have purchased a set of AirPod pros?
