cannot use function keys as standart function keys.

New Mac user here. I am using a cherry kc6000 for my Mac mini M2pro. despite “Use F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys”. is on, my function keys still work as media keys. I cannot use them as standard function keys. Since I want to play dota 2, I need them to do so. How can I solve this issue?

Use Function Keys as standard keys in specific apps only (No Touch Bar) This question is for MacBooks without a touch bar. I would like to use the F-keys as standard keys, but only when I'm in a specific app (IDE). When I'm not using the app, I'd like the brightness and other keys to remain without dealing with pressing Fn. This is similar functionality to how the touch bar allows you to display F-keys in certain apps.

How to quickly switch function keys mode with shortcut for MacBook? If i wanna use the function keys without holding the fn, now the solution is by changing the function keys setting in the system preferences. Is there any shortcut to do the change of setting? like the windows NB do (by pressing fn+esc?)
