Key's : 7, 8, 9, u, i, o, j, k, l, m, «.», «,». dont work. Why?

Hi, can you please help me with this issue? Thanks

On a MacBook Pro, my keyboard Key's : 7, 8, 9, u, i, o, j, k, l, m, «.», «,». dont work. Why?

(using Mac OS 10.12.6 Sierra)

I have tried the suggestion of dialabrain :

«Just to add, if you are running Big Sur: System Preferences > Accessibility > Pointer Control > Alternate Control Methods. Deselect "Enable Mouse Keys".»

It did not solve this issue for me.

Thanks

That would be really strange. Dozens of people have come here with this problem, and turning off Mouse Keys has always solved it. Did you also restart your machine? Could you post a screenshot of your Accessibility settings? Does hitting the option/alt key 5 times help?
