Apple Wireless Magic Mouse not finger touch scrolling

My Model A1657 wireless magic mouse has suddenly stopped scrolling with finger touch. It works fine when I depress it, or drag the pointer around, but it has lost finger touch sensing to move pages up and down, or side to side. Battery is fully charged. I blew out optical sensor with air, I have reset it thru Bluetooth, and thru Sys Pref. I have also tried checking and unchecking Accessibility Mouse Options Scrolling On/Off with and without Inertia. Same performance on another computer.

Have missed anything? Using Monterey 12.6.3

P.S. - Just previous to this problem, it was also not scrolling when dragging without depressing. This has been cleared up 90% with Air blow to sensor, but still some degradation in reliability.
