Messages won’t rotate on iPhone 14 even with portrait lock off
How do I fix this problem? Other apps will rotate, but not messages- which is the one I really want to rotate. Thanks for any help.

Salutations FL 2014,
If there is a specific app that isn’t rotating and rotation lock is disabled, we’re going to recommend some basic steps to get us started. Be sure to test after each step.
1. Quit and relaunch the Messages app Close an app on your iPhone or iPod touch
iPhone X and later
1. From the Home Screen, swipe up from the bottom of the screen and pause in the middle of the screen.
2. Swipe right or left to find the app that you want to close.
3. Swipe up on the app's preview to close the app.
2. Restart your iPhone Restart your iPhone
How to restart your iPhone X, 11, 12, 13, or later
1. Press and hold either volume button and the side button until the power-off slider appears.
2. Drag the slider, then wait 30 seconds for your device to turn off. If your device is frozen or unresponsive, force restart your device.
3. To turn your device back on, press and hold the side button (on the right side of your iPhone) until you see the Apple logo.
3. Make note of whether this happens on screen with a list of all your threads, in a specific thread or both.
Thanks.
