When I get a spam email in my mail accounts, I take two actions: Block Sender, and then Mark as Junk.
But do I actually need to do Block Sender? Does Mark as Junk automatically block the sender?

Mark as Junk does not block the sender. And Block Sender doesn’t do much either, because spammers rarely use the same email address for more than one blast or even more than one user target.
Yeah, I'm aware of the spoofing of email addresses by spammers. But I figure a few can be filtered by Block Sender.
Just wanted to know if my actions are redundant, sounds like they are not. But I think this might be something Apple might want to build into its Mail app. "Block and Mark as Junk."
