Recently, i changed / updated my email address on Icloud from sympatico to gmail but my iphone still indicates the symaptico address and wont take the password.
Keeps asking but wont take it noting "Verification Failed".
Any suggestions?

Try restarting your phone. It can't hurt and sometimes clears up mysterious issues.
