You can use a Computer to update. Read My User Tip: Making Use of a Computer for Updating an iOS Device - User Tip. If any updates are available, they will install, sure enough.

Hello ~If you are trying to zero your balance before changing regions…you may purchase an item from the App Store for more than your balance and the remainder will be billed to your credit card on file thus zeroing your balance . You may also go to lower left hand corner and click on Support and they can zero it for you or:

Contact Apple for support and service

Updating an iPhone 6 Past iOS 12:

A. You can't.  The iPhone 6 will only install to iOS 12. See here: Update your iPhone or iPad Software if you're Experiencing Issues with Location, Date, and Time - Apple Support. And, for the note, even if you could update an order devicem

, only the latest, compatible iOS version will install: iOS 12.5.6 for an iPhone 6.

So, what to Try:

B. Update Using a Computer:

Have a Computer Handy? If so, try using a computer to update. Go here: Update your iPhone Using a Computer - User Tip. If any updates are available, they will install, sure enough.

An iPhone 6 cannot update past iOS 12. You need a new phone.
