No alerts on macbook pro for text messages from android users.

Thank you for your suggestion, but it didn't solve the issue. I got the test message from the android user but did not get an audible alert while my iPad was being used. The message showed on my phone when I picked it up.

When I first got my iPhone, I set the message notifications to repeat, but I wasn't getting any. After a a chat session and phone call with Apple support, I talked to an advanced specialist, and we eventually discovered that my iPad, which had notifications off, was overriding my iPhone settings. I changed the settings on the iPad, and that took care of that issue. Not sure if these issues are related or not.
