MoviesAnywhere redeemed movie is not showing up in my Apple movie library

We redeemed a digital copy of "Croods New Age" and "Call of the Wild" using our MoviesAnywhere account on 2/9. My MoviesAnywhere account IS linked to my iTunes account. 4 days later and the movies are still not showing up in my Apple movie library.


I can search the movies and play them through iTunes, but the title is still not showing up in my Apple movie library or recent purchases in the TV app on my Apple TV, ipad, or any other devices. All software on all devices is up to date.

While it sounds like you may need to reach out to MoviesAnywhere Support first, then Apple Support afterwards, we'd like to first rule out what we can with you here. Let's also confirm more details to enter understand what's happening:


  1. Do you have other MoviesAnywhere movies you redeemed in the past before these two newest movies? If yes, please let us know if you have the same issue with those.
  2. Sometimes unexpected behavior can be resolved with a restart: Restart your iPad and check out the section ‘Restart your Mac' here: Shut down or restart your Mac
  3. Are both your Apple TV and iPad up to date? If you have a compatible iPad model, the latest version is iPadOS 16.3.1. You can verify this within Settings > General > About. In case you needed it, this link shows how to first back up, then Update your iPhone or iPad.
  4. If you have a compatible Apple TV model, the latest version is tvOS 16.3.2. You can verify this within Settings > General > About. In case you needed it, this link shows how to Update your Apple TV.

Thanks for the reply.

here are the answers to your questions.

  1. Yes, several other movies connected before this and never the issue
  2. we restarted. The new movies still do not show up on any device connected to that Apple ID, or through family sharing.
  3. Yes. Software is all up-to-date. Already checked that before asking the question.

Just to clarify, it sounds like you can actually play this content as if you own it from what you originally mentioned.


So the right to play it has transferred over, but it's not appearing in your Apple TV library?
