apple map guide

When I try to text another person my guide on apple maps, it only sends a large file that is unable to be opened, or when I try to cut and paste into maps, maps are unable to find, saying "no matching places found." Same with emailing it to others. If you open the email on your phone, you get the same large text with a large number of letters and numbers; if you click on it, nothing occurs. If I open it via laptop, I can open the guides, but that is not helpful as people use their phones to navigate. How can I send apple map guides to people via text and have them be able to open them on their phones?

Here are the things I would do to send a destination to someone else via message:

First, find the location using Apple’s Maps app. Then tap the symbol shown here.

Next, choose Messages.

Finally, address the message and send it.
