Find My is slow for some Friends

I’ve read lots of complaints about Find My not working or working slowly. I’m hoping this additional detail will allow someone to provide an answer other than back-up, make sure time is on auto, delete the app and reinstall, network reset, cloud sign-in, etc. I’ve done them all. I think it’s a cellular network issue. Here’s a screenshot of a typical view when I open Find My. It shows my other contacts as Now, but my wife as Yesterday at (date and time), in this example almost exactly 24 hours ago. And it’s always this one contact. It will take a few to many minutes to update. Again, the others say Now as soon as I open the app. As to the reason I think it’s a cellular network issue, when my wife come home and attaches to our WiFi, it updates quickly. Any new thoughts?

First, probably not a good idea to display the location of your home on a public website for all to see. It would only take a minute or two to figure out in what town you live using the street name clues that are provided.

We've asked the forum moderators to edit or remove info, if they see fit.

If you turn off the Wi-Fi on your wife's phone and use cellular when the wife's phone returns home, is the location update fast, or is it still slow?

Obviously to test, Wi-Fi on the phone will need to be turned off before your wife reaches the neighborhood to insure that the connection will be over cellular.
