Not receiving text messages on iPad
Since I reset my iPhone, I have not been receiving text messages.
I checked settings and messages and only my email shows up. I can't find anything to help me edit this to change to my phone number.

Thank you so much. You were correct, my phone did not have my phone number listed with my apple id.
I repeated the same steps, had my husband send me a text, and YES, I now receive texts.
I really appreciate your time and knowledge.

I followed your instructions. Under the iMessage being turned on signal is sending receive. Mine still says my email and there’s no place for me to place my telephone number. So I saw the same issue. Could it be that the issue originated in my phone since it was reset. I didn’t do anything to my iPad.
Yes, it seems that your phone number is not registered in iMessages. If it's not on your iPhone, it won't be on your iPad either. It could easily be due to Reset, but your number should very much register again when you sign in to your Apple ID.
Do you have a SIM card with a working number in your iPhone?
Try to follow the same procedure as on your iPad, just on your iPhone.
Try to start by disabling iMessages. This is done in Settings > Messages.
After that, turn off your iPad, turn it back on - go back and enable iMessages. It is also important that your iPhone has iMessages registered and you can use your phone number from it.
