Phone battery draining /overheating

So I have had 3 12 pro replacements in a year, same issue phone won’t hold charge or keep charge. And the phone burns up to the point I can’t hold it.

I got two options from them . Send away but 6-8 weeks or more . Or I get a replacement after I pay the price of a brand new phone ( their fee ). Should I just buy a new phone and trade this in? Help

Hello,

You should investigate as to why you keep having the same issues with three different phones. The problems that you mention should not be happening.

1) Check the charging port for lint or other debris (use a bright light and a toothpick). If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won‘t charge

2) How is it being charged: Identify counterfeit or uncertified Lightning connector accessories

3) Then see this: If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch gets too hot or too cold

4) These are the standard steps for short battery life:

a) Have you tried a restart?  If not, do it now.

b) Go to Settings > Battery > BATTERY USAGE BY APP to see the apps that are consuming your battery.

c) Check “Battery Health” in the link:

iPhone Battery and Performance

d) If all else fails, consider a battery replacement:

iPhone Battery Service

Good luck.

Thank you, I have done all above, new charger. It’s at the point when it skips 100, 80,70,28. I’ve talked to support people and they said nothing we can do . Tbh it’s been 3 months this new issue was fine in November till this

the moment it’s charging but drains after it’s taken of it burns up to the point it could catch alight 😔😞.
