The audio icon on my iMac menu bar turned grey and became unusable

The other day I installed an application called 'Voicemod', and after opening it I found out that it did not work for my iOS version. However, as soon as it was installed, the audio icon on my menu bar turned grey and became unusable.

When I tried to go to my audio settings I got a notification saying "Preference Error: could not load Sound preference pane". Additionally opening Audio MIDI Setup shows the app as being completely blank with no input or output options at all. Uninstalling the application did nothing. I have restarted my computer, as well as used Command + R upon startup to reinstall the iOS multiple times.

Even stranger is the fact that video files and even YouTube videos no longer work as well.

I have no idea how to fix this, any help would be appreciated.

Besides the VoceMod.app in Applications, look in...

Library>Audio>Plug-ins>Hal> and delete...

VoicemodAudioDevice.driver folder, restart.
