Too long voice memo in iMessages

Hi!

I have iphone 13 mini and my friend has iphone 7 and we never had any issues with sending too long voice memos through imessages. However today i recorded a 34 minute voice memo in Messages app and it says the attachment is too long and it asks if i want to shorten it so i can send it. i clicked Ok but nothing happened. And there is no way to even save the memo as its not sent yet. and there is only close and send button (if i click send the same message pops up that i can shorten it) but its not possible to click on the memo or do anything else. Any ideas please? I suppose its probably lost..

Hey Emmiena,

You're correct. The audio message doesn't save until after you send it, so it isn't something that is recoverable. A bit more about sending audio messages can be found under "Send a recorded audio message" in the following guide, just in case: Send and receive messages on iPhone - Apple Support

Are you able to send shorter audio messages without an issue? If so, it could be that the message was too long.
