Weblinks in emails open in a small side window

When I click on a website in an email, it opens in a side panel. I want to get rid of this sidebar and when I click on a website, I want it to open separately in Safari as it used to do.


BTW, I do not have multitasking on. I also tried to watch the video on how to use the side bar, but I couldn’t, because it states that it is a private video!

You need to explore and understand iPadOS multitasking - as this core feature cannot be turned-off.


You have a slide-over view of Safari enabled. Key to accessing and controlling multi-tasking is the small “three-dot” button that is found at the top-centre edge of the App Windows. Tap the three-dot button at the top of the Safari slide-over view; this will provide a menu - select the full screen button.
