Not receiving verification code mail for Apple ID change after domain has been claimed

We have claimed our email domain from work in Apple Business Manager through federated authentication. We were struck with the issue that accounts registered for developer.apple are no longer accessible because they are seen as apple IDs.


It prompts us to change the Apple ID of the account, when I enter a valid email I get to the stage to receive a verification code through email. This code is never received. I have tried different emails, the resend verification code option but nothing works.


There are no other options given to receive a verification code.. Anyone got any tips?

Thanks so much for reaching out in Apple Support Communities for help today. We want to make sure we understand about your email domain name, as it will help us know which way to go with not receiving a verification code.


Was your email domain name owned or registered with someone else, and you have taken ownership?

Are you having any issues getting emails with any of the email addresses you have tried?

Have you tried signing into www.iCloud.com with the Apple ID? You can check the Mail here also.
