I am trying to set my new phone up but my the phone number linked to my iCloud mail is different than my current number and so I cannot receive security codes to get logged in is there a way to reset it? I need to get into my email for something important

Do you have another Apple Device besides your new iPhone?
If so, on that device you can go to:
Settings
Tap/Click on Your Name at the top
Select "Name, Phone Numbers, Email", and change your phone number there.
If not, then you can go on a PC, go to appleid.apple.com and sign in with your AppleID email address and password.
Then select "Personal Information" and find your phone number and change it to your new one!
