Dialing *785# on my iPhone
If you dial *785# then someone’s phone number then *1# Does this do anything to your phone or link to the number you entered?

It’s not a normal thing to do, and it might do something odd, but that isn’t a standard Telephone Feature Code. My advice is don’t try it, because lots of undefined feature codes will do something unexpected that even the phone companies don’t know about.
