How do I charge the new remote?? I bought a charger and cord and it doesn’t fit the remote

The latest model Siri Remote (3rd generation) has a USB-C port.

Possibly you bought a non-matching power adapter and/or non-matching cable. Maybe you can return it for a different model?


There are power adapters with USB-C, or with USB-A.

Alternatively, there are USB cables with USB-C on both ends, there are USB cable with USB-C on one end, and USB-A on the other end.

The Lightning-to-USB cables [1] [2] have no use with the Siri Remote (3rd generation), only with earlier models that have a Lightning port.


Or you can charge directly to a computer USB port.
