Ethernet Certificates for tvOS

My company IT support person is telling me that we have to operate Apple TVs on the company's slower Wi-Fi network because tvOS can not hold an Ethernet certificate. They use JAMF Pro as their device management tool. Is this true? Is it a limitation of JAMF?

Most of the users on this forum have Apple TV boxes in home setups. I’m not sure if there are MDM experts here.

Try contacting Jamf Support.

Else try contacting your Apple Sales representative, to bring you in contact with an expert on Apple MDM.

There are different methods/solutions of deploying MDM, and with that come different sets of features. Maybe that plays a role in your situation?

‘Slower’ Wi-Fi doesn’t really matter for a lot of things, if you get a useful minimum. 800 Mbps isn’t needed. If you get 25 Mbps or better, then you get enough bandwidth for 4K HDR. If your get 15 Mbps or better, then you get enough for 4K SDR. If your get 8 Mbps or better, then you get enough bandwidth for HD 1080p.
