Peak performance but it’s bulging pushing screen up

My iPhone says that my battery is performing at peak capabilities and at a maximum capacity of 80% yet the The battery is clearly bulging and pushing the screen out, which is a hazardous situation, and apparently converted into flame or exploded any moment. How is apple not responsible if my phone explodes for any damages because their service on their program through their software is telling me that is performing at its peak levels? !
