Jail broke iPad & iPhone?

Is there a straight forward test that can verify whether or not my iPad and iPhone have been jail broke?

A sketchy individual have compromised my entire network.

I am new to Apple products, so please be gentle.

iPad: 10th gen (wi-fi +c )

Model A2757

Software version 16.3.1


iPhone: SE 12

Soft-ver 16.3.1

If you suspect the iPhone is compromised, factory reset and re-install the iPhone. Don’t restore a backup.


If you suspect the network is compromised, disconnect it all, reset each piece connecting one at a time, and reload current firmware for each. How each device is reset varies by vendor and model.


Passwords and password-reset paths (mail accounts, cellular plan PINs, etc) get updated with new and unique passwords, and the Apple ID and other important accounts get multi-factor authentication enabled where available.
