Settings priority - Mac Mail and others

In Mail, along with other apps, there are various settings.

My question is, if I set certain actions on my MacBook Air for what to do with, say, Blocked Senders (in this case, Enable and Move to the Bin) and my iPhone and iMac have different settings, which settings take priority?

All devices are synced with iCloud of course.

Yes, that's why I made the post.

All three of my devices have been set to NOT "Enable junk mail filtering"

All three devices have been set to "Enable blocked mail filtering"

All three devices have been set to "Mark as blocked mail, but leave it in my inbox"

Why not how those iPhone settings here as well, for a better understanding as to whats what...

Explained above.

I do not use Junk and I do not use iCloud mail

I do.

So, after leaving it all for a couple of weeks to settle down and check progress, on all devices:

  • One blocked sender arrived in my Inbox - the correct action!

  • Two blocked senders have gone straight to bin - incorrect action - they should have stayed in my Inbox

  • 21 emails which Mail has identified as Junk have gone to my Junk mailbox and are coloured brown - incorrect action, they should not have been filtered, and should have gone to my inbox

Next stop Apple!
