Back up messages

I need to back a message thread so I can search for information I need for a court case.

Then entire thing, start to finish.

How do I do that?

If the answer is "You can't" why not?!? When are they going to fix this?

How to save iMessages for court? I need to print a long history of text messages for a court appearance. I paid to upgrade icloud and see that my messages have synced. I also turned on text fowarding on my iphone. However- none of my historical conversations are backing up to the messages app on my Mac (where I could export a PDF), and I was just told by somebody at Apple Care that there is no way to do this (sync across devices or download a back up that is readable from a mac). This seems insane! People routinely need to export conversation histories for legal purposes. Please tell me there is some way to do this.

Archiving/saving text messages Please tell me there’s a way that I can archive many of my text messages without having to delete them. I find it hard to believe that this feature is still not available after all these years. Surely I can’t be the only one that has an abundance of text messages that I don’t need to see every time I open up the app ! Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

You can use an application such as iMazing(Mac or Windows) to archive your messages to your computer.
